How about us?
Not only parents are anxious about the K-12 program also the teachers especially the professors. How about them?
The professors will be displaced and will be put in Senior High Schools and can be a whole time or part time teacher. But CHED (Commission on Higher Education) has saved a budget for professors, teachers that will be displace called the Teacher Education Augmentation Fund.

The number of teachers, instructors and professors is not a small number by the way, its' about 39,000 possible displaced professors.

The salary is also going to be increased for teachers who will be willing to teach for Senior High School. Instead of a teacher 1 salary 13-17,000, it will increase to like of teacher two which is more or less below the 20,000 range which is about 19,000 of a salary.

If the colleges does not want to lose their teachers, Asec. Mateo offers a solution.
They can also have Senior High School in their institution and ask for a permit from Deped and about 274 privates schools has been permitted to have a SHS in their school. The only thing for them to do is to "comply sila sa standard natin" Asec. Mateo said.

With this, teachers are hopefully going to be okay with what Deped plans to do with the matter.
