His father motivated him to pursue his journey to be a professional boxer because his father saw that he has a determination.

He represented the Philippines at the 2014 Asian Games and won the bronze medal in the event.

Fernandez is a southpaw and a technical fighter with good footwork, speed and has a power in both hands.

In 2017, he struggles to win a match because he can’t control himself that he was angry and triggered from his opponent.
